Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using ReelToText, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

ReelToText converts audio from one individual publicly accessible Instagram Reel per request into text. Collection pages, batch input and other Instagram content types are not supported in the first version. Available outputs may include plain text, SRT subtitles and VTT captions. Processing speed, accuracy and availability can vary.

The free MVP allows three transcript requests per IP address each UTC day. We may adjust limits, introduce paid plans or change available features with reasonable notice.

Public Content and Your Responsibility

You may submit only content that is publicly accessible and that you own, are authorized to process or otherwise have a lawful reason to use. You are responsible for respecting copyright, privacy, publicity and other rights.

ReelToText does not grant you ownership of the source video or permission to republish another person’s content. A transcript may still be protected by copyright or other laws.

Prohibited Uses

You must not:

• Attempt to access private Instagram accounts or bypass access controls.
• Use ReelToText to infringe copyright, privacy or other legal rights.
• Submit unlawful, harmful or malicious material.
• Circumvent rate limits or interfere with the service.
• Reverse engineer, overload or probe the service without written authorization.
• Represent an automatically generated transcript as verified when accuracy matters.

Accuracy

AI transcription can contain errors, especially with background music, multiple speakers, uncommon names, accents or poor audio. Review transcripts before using them for publication, research, legal, medical or other consequential purposes.

Temporary Processing

ReelToText does not download the full video or persist media to application storage. Extracted audio is held temporarily in server memory while the request is processed. Apify and OpenRouter may process the submitted link or audio under their own terms.

Availability

Instagram, Apify, OpenRouter and hosting providers are independent services. Changes or interruptions at those providers may affect ReelToText. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or a particular processing time.

Intellectual Property and Complaints

ReelToText’s software, branding and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Copyright complaints can be submitted under our DMCA policy.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided as available without warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law. ReelToText is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on a transcript.
